In the Versamax Micro PLC series of expansion units, the IC200UEI016 component is an extension module with eight points. Designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc, this component has several different options to fit whatever task that needs to be completed. This extension module power supply may be used to power input devices as well as other things. It also supplies electricity to the DC input circuitry, with a capacity of seven-point-five (7.5) milliamperes (mA) for each input port. There are no outputs on this device since it is solely an input unit. It has a typical voltage rating of twenty-four (24) volts DC (direct current), and an input power range of zero (0) to thirty (30) volts DC (direct current), making it a versatile device. This GE Fanuc extension module has a rated current of four-point-eight (4.8) milliamperes (mA), as well as a rated resistance of four thousand eight hundred (4800) ohms. When the threshold input voltage is varied between five (5) and fifteen (15) volts DC, the current ranges from 1.5 to three (3) milliamperes. Other specifications regarding this GE Fanuc device include a hold-up rating of ten (10) milliseconds at 19.2 volts DC, and inrush current of 1 ampere maximum at 30 volts DC, and an inrush time rated for ten (10) milliseconds for one (1) ampere. 

Installation of this module should be performed by a certified technician who is familiar with the needed connections and wiring and who is capable of performing all of the necessary connections and wiring appropriately. This will guarantee that the module's functioning and connections are as safe as possible. One of the advantages of using this extension module is that it allows you to expand the applications of a single PLC system.
